About Menchie's.ca

Problem

Menchie’s is a popular frozen yogurt franchise that specializes in self-serve frozen yogurt and dessert offerings. It began its Canadian expansion since 2011 and has established its presence with numerous locations across the country.

Menchie.ca is the official website for Menchie’s Canadian market.

As one of the popular brands in the Canadian frozen yogurt market, the absence of an online ordering service on the website and its outdated information navigation pose a significant hurdle to Menchie’s.ca.

The main objective of this project was to help Menchie’s.ca visualize the strategic decision on adapting an online order feature and the best design practices of the website.

Since Menchie’s.ca hadn’t launched an online ordering feature on the website, the design team was responsible for not only designing the user flow, but also creating the high-fidelity prototypes of the redesigns of Mobile and Web interfaces of the website fulfilling an online order.

So our challenges were to:

• Create the website experience of the online ordering feature on Mobile and Web interfaces
• Test and measure the usability of the designs and the ordering flow
• Help to enhance Menchie’s.ca’s design system and consistency across platforms by creating a Design Components library and a UI Style Guide

All of that within less than 3 months.
